Certified Respiratory Therapist

Selingsgrove Center - Selingsgrove, PA

3 days a week – 22.5 hrs. per week

No weekends

MHM Solutions, Inc., in our exclusive partnership with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, provides medical professional staffing services to the Department of Human Services.  MHM is a leading provider of specialized healthcare services to state and local government agencies nationwide.

The Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Developmental Programs at Selingsgrove Center has a need for a P/T Certified Respiratory Therapist. The facility is an intermediate care facility for individuals with developmental disability, physical injury/illness or mental illness. This position is responsible for evaluating, treating and direct care for patients within the facility according to the AARC (American Association for Respiratory Care) guidelines.

The candidate will assist teams to develop strategies to improve care and maximize respiratory status of the individuals in relation to trach care, nebulizer treatment, chest PT, oxygen therapy, CPAP, etc. The respiratory therapist will also  collaborate with the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Recreational Therapist, Dietary staff and direct care staff to initiate and develop programs and approaches to optimize each individual’s respiratory status. The Respiratory Therapist will participate as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team.

The respiratory therapist will teach direct care staff on proper positioning, signs and symptoms of respiratory distress, aspiration pneumonia and pneumonia. In addition, will monitor the quality of respiratory care and treatment and initiate action to correct deficiencies.


  • Associate degree from accredited respiratory therapist education program

  • License and certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for Pennsylvania.

  • Minimum one year experience preferred
