Advanced Clinician II
CARF Accredited Acute Rehab Unit
The Advanced Clinician II oversees and coordinates program and staff development, as well as department education, while providing clinical services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical
disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. Also examines patient's medical history, evaluates their physical abilities, determines their potential to respond to therapy, and develops treatment plans. Requires Occupational Therapist license.
•Evaluates and develops treatment plans of patients
•Supervises clinical staff, assistants, support staff, students and volunteers
•Oversee and coordinate self-development, staff education, mentoring, orientation/competency assessment/performance appraisals, goal setting, performance plans, and clinical mentoring with timely feedback to the Program Manager.
•Serves in an administrative capacity and acts as an adjunct to the Program Manager by taking on delegated duties.
•Oversee and coordinate program development and performance improvement initiatives.
•Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital
•Graduate of accredited allied health professional education program.
•Continuing Education requirements as dictated by the State licensure requirements.
•Licensed by the State as an Occupational Therapist.
•Four to five years of current clinical practice.
•Demonstrates advanced clinical skill level.
•Evidence of involvement in additional non-clinical activities.
•Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience.
