Job Description: RESPIRATORY THERAPIST in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Southern Indiana., Full Time, 7p-7a; 2 of 6 weekends, holiday rotation
The Respiratory Therapist will coordinate and provide respiratory care primarily for neonates, and adults as required. The Respiratory Therapist will provide teaching and training in respiratory care and is responsible for competency training, administration and documentation. The RT will perform arterial blood gas punctures and analyses and is able to identify problems that affect test performance/results. The RT will provide all modes of respiratory support, pulse oximetry, blood gas monitoring, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Requirements: Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Care and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a current state license; and must maintain a current status in BLS, ACLS, NPR, and STABLE certification. One year of respiratory
experience is required but experience with neonates is preferred.
