Job Description: Program Director
The Center for Physician Assistant Studies (CPAS) of Albany Medical College (AMC) is seeking a new Program Director for August 2019. The quali ed applicant will be an NCCPA Certi ed Physician Assistant with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (NYS licensed or eligible). A Master’s degree is required (Doctoral preferred). The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in PA Education including administrative duties and participation in ARC-PA accreditation activities. Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills are necessary.
The PA program at AMC has been continuously accredited since inception in 1972. Graduation and rst time PANCE passing rates are perennially at or near 100%. Employers and alumni rate graduate preparation highly. CPAS Student:Faculty ratio is low (8:1) for the 28-month, MS granting program. The program operates from a purpose-built, dedicated, facility with full access to the resources of the academic medical center including an active clinical simulation center.
