Job Description:

Position available for Registered Nurse at a Speciall Needs School for children with Speech and Language challenges -ages 5-11 on the upper west side of Manhattan.

Position to begin Mid-January- Full time Monday-Friday

Responsibilities include but are not limitedto the following:

Manage health needs of students
Maintain accurate health records (e.g. current medications, allergies, immunizations, and injuries within the school setting on Magnus Health
Administer medication during the school day
Contact parent when a student becomes ill during the school day
Conduct temperature checks at the beginning of the school day
Filing reports to the DOH
Triage students and/or staff with medical emergencies during then school day
Parent communication in then event of health related emergency during the school day
Liaison between school and medical professional in the event of an emergency
Keeping up-to-date on DOH, DOE and State requirements for COVID 19

Nursing license required also DOE Clearance - Prior experience with special needs students preferred
