Primary Care

Jewish Family and Children’s Service’s (JFCS) historic presence in the Valley continues to forge ahead with innovative integrated healthcare clinics and formidable programs serving all races and ages of people, regardless of faith, origin, ability, or sexual orientation. We assist all clients with behavioral health and primary care through integrated clinics located throughout the Valley. Our humble beginnings more than 86 years ago now accommodate more than 40,000 clients’ needs on an annual basis.

Our clinics are Healthy Verify certified and our facilities maintain the highest standards for safety, as well as client and employee health. We value life and we value serving those who are members of underserved populations. Our employees are some of the most skilled in Maricopa County and we realize our employees are our number one asset providing an immense amount of unselfish direct care to those who need it the most.

We are searching for Nurse Practitioners in our Integrated Clinics to work under the supervision of a Board Certified and licensed MD in the State of Arizona. Duties include the following:

· Performing physical exams and conducting patient observations

· Recording patient medical histories and symptoms

· Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing medical plans

· Ordering, administering and analyzing diagnostic tests

· Monitoring and operating medical equipment

· Diagnosing health issues

· Administering medicine and other health treatments

· Detecting changes in patient health and modifying treatment plans

· Providing training to Medical Assistants on lab draws, vaccinations and other injections

· Oversight of the clinics laboratory standards and CLIA license

· Consulting with healthcare professionals and families

· Consulting and training patients and their families how to manage and prevent illness

Qualifications include:

· Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program

· RN licensure in the state employed or a compact party state and board certified by either ANCC or AANP

· APN authorization in the state employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nursing Examiners

· Prescriptive authorization

· Experience providing primary care as a family nurse practitioner

· Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to fully function in primary care

· Knowledge of medical records systems, data management programs, information systems as well as medical records and point of interview technology with electronic medical records programs

· Foundational understanding of OSHA, federal and state regulations

· Excellent verbal and communications skills

· Knowledge of disease prevention
