CAP cares about the safety of our team members and clients. As such, we require on-site staff to wear face masks for the duration of the COVID pandemic. Moreover, CAP is subject to state and federal mandates for COVID vaccinations for all healthcare and related employees. All new employees are required to provide proof of vaccination status to HR at the time of hire (unless a documented medical or religious exemption is requested and approved). Employees not subject to a state or federal vaccine mandate will be required to undergo regular testing for COVID 19 at no cost to the employee.
CAP is excited to announce that we are currently hiring a Licensed Nurse at Our House of Portland. Our House of Portland is a small, nonprofit RCF located in SE Portland. We care for individuals living with HIV who may be dealing with other comorbidities such as substance use disorder, kidney disease and heart failure. We also care for individuals who are on palliative or hospice care. Our House is an inclusive learning environment with an interdisciplinary team of Nurses, Social workers, Peer Recovery Mentors, and Caregivers who work together to meet the needs of our complex population. This is a rewarding position for someone who is looking to work in a nonjudgmental environment of community and healing.
Responsibilities include: Provide direct care to the residents as well as environmental care of the facility with the caregiver on duty. The Licensed staff performs the primary function by assisting in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of our residents. Provide compassionate, person-centered care to a diverse population of individuals. Responsibilities include treatment and medication administration, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of our residents. Collaborating and communicating with a multidisciplinary team and resident medical providers over a variety of shifts to ensure quality care is given.
This individual will work at Our House of Portland. This is a Part-time non-exempt 0.7FTE position (3 nights on 4 off, 4 on 3 off), which reports to the Deputy Director of Our House Programs. This is a non-management level. Night shifts and Weekends are required.
COMPENSATION: $28 per hour for LPN plus shift differential. $34.77 per hour for RN plus shift differential
Plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus at the time of hire and a $1,000 bonus in six months of employment
NOTE: This is a union-represented position.
