Developmental Interventionist, Early Intervention

Job Type: Part Time

Hourly pay rate: $57.51

This position provides early intervention services to young population of children ages 0-3 and their families, in home and or community settings. This role requires someone who is passionate about their patients and committed to helping them recover their independence. Responsible for the implementation of teaching and behavioral plans and programs. Responsibilities include working one-on-one with children to help improve social, language and academic skills as well as the collection of data as specified in their behavioral plans and programs during each session.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop Plan of Treatment for each child/family based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short and long term goals, collaboration demands of other team members, and required child and caregiver involvement.

• Implement Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to child's progress.

• Document child's progress according to the IFSP document and NJEIS requirements.

• Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of child's function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to child's abilities and realistically attainable.

• Report child progress to parent or caregiver involved in ongoing care of child.


• Bachelor’s degree in special education, Psychology or related field, and or degree in Special Education, Psychology and or health related field.

• One (1) year of classroom experience utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

• Must have personal vehicle to travel between clients’ homes and schools

• Required to provide own electronic device with Wi-Fi for real time access with regards to sessions in accordance to NJEIS regulations.

Working Conditions:

Working in home settings, requires travel to various types of homes.

• Bachelor's (Preferred)
