Part Time Meds Admin Trainer - (23003564)

The Part Time Medication Administration Instructor will work an average of 20 hours per week, primarily in support of the Medication Administration Train-the-Trainer Face-to-Face classes.
The Medication Administration Instructor will teach the Medication Administration Face-to-Face course between two to five times per month, working closely with the training team to ensure consistency and fidelity, and will serve as a co-trainer to one other trainer.
This position requires flexibility as training dates and locations across the state vary from month to month; however training needs are disclosed well in advance. Training may be virtual or offered via an in-person format. The Trainer must be available for possible overnight travel around Pennsylvania, including travel to location that may not be accessible by public transportation. The Trainer may be asked to contribute to the development of training and instruction materials or to assist with technical assistance questions from administrators or trainer candidates filtered through the Temple Harrisburg Medication Administration Course Helpdesk.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Overnight travel is required for this position.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in providing medical training / instruction. Must hold a current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse, Registered Pharmacist, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy or Physician Assistant.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Ability to lead, or facilitate, training in an engaging and effective format.
*Ability to assess and provide feedback to class participants.
*Ability to travel to training sites that might not be accessible by public transportation throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
*Ability to travel overnight and spend - if needed - multiple days at various locations in the state.
*Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
*Skill in the use of personal computers and related software
*Must have a reliable vehicle, valid Pennsylvania driver's license, and up-to-date registration and insurance.

This is a grant-funded position.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
This position is based at Temple University Harrisburg Campus and is part of the University College. The University College is responsible for the operations of the Ambler, Center City and Harrisburg campuses as well as offering programs and activities across multiple Temple campuses and locations. In order to ensure the continuity of campus operations, this position is considered an essential staff member who may be required to work from campus during periods of remote operations.
